A 'Classical Gift' Presented by World-Class Orchestras and Artists

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Lotte Concert Hall unveiled its 2023 lineup on the 13th, featuring a variety of classical performances including the World Class, Organ Series, and In-House Artist Series.
The first performance in the 2023 World Class Concert Series is the Dresden Staatskapelle concert conducted by Chung Myung-whun on March 3. Pianist Cho Seong-jin will join as a soloist.
On May 18, soprano Diana Damrau will take the stage. Following that, on June 19, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra led by rising conductor Lahav Shani will perform.
On June 28, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Sanderling will perform, featuring pianist Lim Yunchan as a soloist. On July 4, the 'Vienna & Berlin Chamber Orchestra,' composed of members from the Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic orchestras, will hold their first concert in Korea.
From November 11 to 13, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO), ranked number one in the Gramophone World Orchestra rankings, will perform at Lotte Concert Hall for the first time in six years since 2017.
On December 16, the early music ensemble 'Accademia della Nunziata' will present their first concert in Korea, and on December 17, British cellist Sekou Kane-Mason and pianist Isata Kane-Mason, siblings recognized as the next generation of musicians, will offer a duo recital.
The 'In-House Artist Series' features artists pursuing their own performance philosophy and individuality, and this year is composed of diverse programs. The 2023 Lotte Concert Hall In-House Artists are pianist Lee Jinsang and violinist Yoon Soyoung. Lee Jinsang will perform in April, Yoon Soyoung in June, and both artists will appear together for a special concert in November.
Lotte Concert Hall’s exclusive 'Organ Series' will feature Olivier Latry (May 16) and Scott Brothers (November 21) presenting new performances. To broaden the classical music audience, the popular program 'El Concert Series' with commentary will be held four times in April, June, October, and December.
In the 'Special Season Series,' pianist Elizabeth Bright will perform the 'Valentine Concert' on February 11, and the Vienna Cello Ensemble 5+1 will grace the stage in May, the month of family.
On December 31, Chung Myung-whun and the One Korea Orchestra will close the 2023 Lotte Concert Hall season with Beethoven’s 'Choral' Symphony.
