Before the on-site inspection, Sampyo Industry reinforced safety railings to prevent fall accidents during upper work on Bulk Cement Trailers (BCT) and installed a safety gear popup kiosk to create a safe working environment where workers can wear safety gear. Additionally, to prevent traffic accidents within the plant, pedestrian pathways were improved, caution lights for vehicle entry and exit and speed bumps were installed, and LED lights were set up to identify the movement paths of vehicles during night work. Rear detection sensors were attached to heavy equipment, and next year, collision prevention recognition systems and laser beams to secure safe distances will be additionally installed.
A team composed of on-site workers is also being operated. Across four mortar plants nationwide (Incheon, Hwaseong, Sejong, Gimhae), 19 teams are actively conducting activities to improve safety culture.
The Sampyo Industry Mortar Division plans to invest 500 million KRW next year for safety management and will promote safety innovation through continuous budget expansion. Safety culture improvement activities will be evaluated based on participation, excellent proposals, and improvements, and safety workplace certification and awards will be given.
