The Carbon Neutral Practice Plan, launched for customers using MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) services, is an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) plan that provides gifts step-by-step when customers join the Korea Environment Corporation's 'Carbon Neutral Practice Points' and participate in carbon-neutral lifestyle practices.
First, customers who subscribe to the plan and join the Carbon Neutral Practice Points within one month will receive eco-friendly cleansing soap and lotion as gifts. Then, if they complete at least one of the six carbon-neutral practice items (issuing electronic receipts, using refill stations, renting zero-emission vehicles, using reusable containers, purchasing eco-friendly products, supporting future generations) within 12 months of subscribing, they will be given an eco-friendly bath product set consisting of two shampoo soaps and one body soap.
In addition to the Carbon Neutral Practice Plan, customers who subscribe to postpaid plans under the '+Alpha' joint partnership program with MVNOs using LG Uplus's network and join the Carbon Neutral Practice Points will also receive eco-friendly cleansing soap and lotion.
The Carbon Neutral Practice Plan is available through nine MVNO providers using the LG Uplus network (MediaLog, InsKobi, KeunSaram, Smartel, Unicoms, EyesVision, InsKorea, YL Land, CK CommuStreet). The plans include 'Carbon Neutral Practice 11GB,' which provides 11GB of basic data per month plus an additional 2GB per day, with unlimited data at 3Mbps speed after all data is used, and 'Carbon Neutral Practice 7GB,' which provides 7GB of basic data per month with unlimited data at 1Mbps speed after all data is used.
LG Uplus has actively engaged in ESG practices, such as launching the 'Hope Windmill Donation Plan,' which donates part of MVNO usage fees to the Korean Red Cross. The Carbon Neutral Practice Plan was introduced in response to the growing interest in environmental protection, especially among the MZ generation customers.
Oh Seung-hwan, Head of the Carbon Neutral Support Division at the Korea Environment Corporation, said, "The corporation is striving to provide lifestyle-oriented benefits such as financial incentives and leisure perks to citizens practicing carbon neutrality through collaboration with various organizations. We hope that the launch of this MVNO plan by the telecom company will accelerate the public's carbon-neutral actions."
