InnoBiz Association Celebrates 20th Anniversary with '2022 InnoBiz Day' Event
On the 6th, the '2022 Inno-Biz Day' was held at The-K Hotel in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, with about 450 attendees including Inno-Biz companies and invited officials from the government and related organizations.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Innobiz Association (Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation Association) announced on the 6th that it held the '2022 Innobiz Day' at The-K Hotel in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, with about 450 attendees including Innobiz companies and invited government and related organization officials.
Innobiz Day is an annual year-end event held to unite the innovative spirit of Innobiz entrepreneurs and to boost their pride. This year, under the slogan "20 Years of Innobiz, Innovation is the Future," the association, celebrating its 20th anniversary, reflected on its past and prepared a declaration stage to welcome a new 20 years as a key player in value innovation.
In the first part, broadcaster Tyler Rush gave a special lecture on expanding future cooperative partnerships of Innobiz companies and sustainable development under the theme "Post-COVID, Climate Crisis, Crisis of My Life, My People."
The second part featured a networking reception to commemorate and celebrate the 20th anniversary. About 200 executives and invited guests who have worked with the association participated. Through impromptu interviews reminiscent of film festival award ceremonies and live broadcasts on-site, a harmonious gathering among member companies was created.
In the third part, 'Innobiz Night,' marking the 20th anniversary, the 'Innobiz Association Future 20-Year Vision (Hamsung Cluster)' was announced, and awards and letters of appreciation were presented to those who have led the spread of technological innovation and job creation.
Chairman Byunghoon Lim of the Innobiz Association also held a showcase to commemorate the launch of the member company search platform Aidanbi. Aidanbi is a value chain collaboration platform for 7,300 member companies. Through this platform, companies’ value chains such as raw material procurement, production, packaging, and sales are connected, enabling the formation of practical cooperation systems. Not only companies but also government officials participate, making it easier to design customized policies.
In the awards for meritorious persons, three categories?'Technological Innovation,' 'Job Creation,' and 'Technology Cooperation'?were recognized separately. In the 'Technological Innovation' category, 32 people including CEO Bokhee Ahn of Neopies and CEO Minseong Bae of Genie Tech received commendations from the Minister of SMEs and Startups. Ten people including CEO Hyungkwon Jung of Geumseong Wind Power and CEO Hyokyung Jung of DNB received commendations from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office. In the job creation category, three people including CEO Soonja Cha of Bogwang INT received commendations from the Minister of Employment and Labor, and in the technology cooperation category, four people received commendations from the Chairman of the National Research Council of Science & Technology.
Additionally, 17 former executives, auditors, and advisory committee members who have led the association’s development over the past 20 years were presented with awards of merit, and letters of appreciation were given to 10 external figures who have contributed to the growth of Innobiz companies.
Chairman Lim stated, "User-customized production systems are no longer manufacturing but service industries, and there is only optimization for customers without the concept of completion," adding, "We will continue to actively lead so that association members can advance as key players in value innovation who constantly challenge themselves."

Meanwhile, Aidanbi, the member company search platform created by the Innobiz Association, is an application developed exclusively for association members and can be downloaded by searching 'Aidanbi' in app markets. Government and institution officials responsible for policy implementation can register individually and use it.
