Korea Exchange Holds Meeting with Member CEOs... Discussions on Establishing Alternative Exchange and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] The Korea Exchange announced on the 6th that it held a CEO meeting with member companies over two days on the 5th and 6th for the second half of 2022.
This meeting was organized with the purpose of strengthening two-way communication and bonds between the Exchange and member companies amid the harsh stock market conditions. At the meeting, the Exchange shared major capital market issues with member companies and gathered their opinions.
Additionally, presentations and discussions were held on this year’s stock market trends, the Exchange’s business performance, and the Korea Exchange’s business plans for next year. In particular, opinions were exchanged regarding the establishment of Alternative Trading Systems (ATS) and enhancing service competitiveness. The Exchange also explained that broad discussions took place on capital market issues such as the introduction of digital securities markets and the spread of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.

Son Byung-doo, Chairman of the Exchange, stated, "We will carefully listen to the concerns and ideas shared together and use them as valuable groundwork for the development of the capital market." He added, "In 2023, we will strengthen communication with member companies on new market issues and actively reflect diverse perspectives and opinions."
