Activating Intellectual Property! ... Dongmyeong University Hosts 'Idea and Invention Contest'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Dongmyung University held the ‘2022 Busan·Gyeongnam Region Idea and Invention Competition’ for youth and university students in the Busan and Gyeongnam areas to expand the base of intellectual property.
In both the youth and university student categories, a total of 12 teams were selected as award winners: 1 grand prize team (1,000,000 KRW), 2 excellence award teams (500,000 KRW each), and 3 merit award teams (300,000 KRW each).
The grand prize winners were ▲ in the youth category, the Britishmen’s team student Kim Beomjin with ‘SCU (Size Control Uubrella)’ ▲ in the university category, the Ideulbit team student Kim Seoho with ‘Flowerpot Kit Using Limestone Components from Discarded Oyster Shells.’
In the youth category, the excellence awards went to the Duruduru team’s Kim Donghyun and the Static team’s Son Junhyuk, and the merit awards went to the Miseangsen team’s Bae Junseong, Bae Junseong, and the C.U.W.T team’s Han Wooseok.
In the university category, the excellence awards were given to the J.O.P.Y team’s Yoo Junghoon and Lee Seonyeong, and the merit awards were received by Kim Eunbi, Kim Youngin, and Kim Geonwoo.
The creative idea contest, held on the 1st at Dongmyung Hall’s multipurpose hall and hosted by the Dongmyung University Intellectual Property Education Leading University Project Group, was sponsored by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the Korea Invention Promotion Association, and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was held for the first time this year.
