On the 5th, the People Power Party held the first meeting of the election commission to select candidates for the National Assembly standing committee chairpersons and decided accordingly.
The five standing committees subject to chairperson replacement are the Planning and Finance Committee, Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, National Defense Committee, Administration and Security Committee, and Intelligence Committee.

Candidate registration will take place for one day on the 6th, and the selection will be made at the party members' meeting on the 8th. The term of the elected chairpersons will begin immediately after selection and last until May of the year after next, when the 21st National Assembly ends.
