Imsil-gun to Host 'Santa Festival' at Cheese Theme Park from 23rd to 25th

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 5th that it will hold the ‘2022 Imsil Santa Festival’ for three days from the 23rd to the 25th at Imsil Cheese Theme Park.

The county is making thorough preparations to continue the atmosphere of the Imsil Santa Festival, which received great responses from many visitors with its diverse programs and Christmas ambiance, this year as well.

This festival will designate themed zones and utilize the entire Imsil Cheese Theme Park as a Christmas festival venue.

There will be a ‘special stage’ set up in the parking lot of Imsil Cheese Theme Park, a ‘photo zone’ in front of the Cheese Castle where visitors can take beautiful photos against the splendid Christmas scenery, and a ‘experience zone’ with various hands-on booths to enjoy.

Additionally, the festival is organized into a ‘play zone’ featuring activities such as Santa sledding and cheese curling, and a ‘food zone’ where visitors can enjoy delicious treats, offering distinctive programs in each area.

The festival’s representative program, the ‘Santa Parade Contest,’ invites participating groups to showcase their unique Santa costumes and winter atmosphere by marching from the Visitor Center through the Fountain Plaza to the special stage, creating special Christmas memories with friends, family, and club members throughout the theme park.

Applications are open for groups of 15 or more, with a participation support fund of 1 million won provided. Recruitment is currently underway through the Imsil Cheese Theme Park website.

To recreate the winter sledding experience, a sledding area will be set up at the Clock Tower Plaza where visitors can ride wheeled sleds and enjoy cheese curling at the Santa sledding site. Various activities such as family tree making and gingerbread house making, which the whole family can participate in, will also be available.

Events such as an online and offline photo contest against the backdrop of the splendid Christmas scenery at Imsil Cheese Theme Park, a Santa stamp tour, and photo opportunities with Santa are also planned.

The county expects the Santa Festival to be a program that satisfies both children who want to enjoy exciting play and parents who want to give their children a joyful time.

County Governor Shim Min said, “In Imsil, where joy is found in all four seasons, we are doing our best to prepare a special winter trip for visitors this winter as well,” and added, “We hope you visit Imsil Cheese Theme Park, transformed into Santa Village for the winter, and enjoy the Santa Festival together.”
