Daesung Energy CEO Yoon Hong-sik Awarded Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation ... 'Contribution to Expanding Hydrogen Vehicle Adoption'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] On the 2nd, Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy as a contributor to the activation of the hydrogen economy and the promotion of the hydrogen industry at the 2nd Ulsan International Hydrogen Energy Forum held at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center.
CEO Yoon was recognized for establishing the first converged hydrogen charging station utilizing a CNG charging station in the city gas industry in Daegu, actively applying the know-how of operating CNG charging stations to hydrogen charging station operations, contributing to the expansion of hydrogen vehicle distribution through stable hydrogen supply in the region, and building a private-sector-centered hydrogen infrastructure.
As of December, Daesung Energy operates two converged hydrogen charging stations in Seongseo and Gwaneum in Daegu city, and is actively participating in regional hydrogen infrastructure development projects by establishing hydrogen charging stations in Hayang in 2023 and Geomdan in 2024.
Additionally, through participation in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Hydrogen Convergence Alliance Task Force, serving as a director of the Hydrogen Industry Association, and activities in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Future Energy Forum, CEO Yoon has also played a leading role in policy formation for the government’s carbon reduction and Daegu city’s hydrogen industry foundation.
