Yongin City announced on the 2nd that it received the Best Institution Award again this year, following its selection as the Best Institution at the 2019 Gyeonggi-do Integrity Awards.
Yongin City received high marks for significantly improving civil complaint satisfaction by establishing the 'Building Permit Supplementary Database System' to prevent extended processing times caused by supplementary procedures during building permit approvals.
Additionally, the city was well evaluated for operating the 'Public Officials Self-Management System,' conducting internal integrity surveys, and promoting integrity essay contests, all aimed at enhancing the integrity of public officials.
Furthermore, Yongin City is working to spread a culture of integrity by forming the 'Yongin Integrity Council' together with four institutions within the administrative town: Yongin Office of Education, Yongin Eastern Police Station, Yongin Tax Office, and Yongin Post Office, jointly promoting integrity campaigns.
Yongin City has achieved excellent results in various evaluations, including being named an 'Outstanding Institution' for six consecutive years in the Board of Audit and Inspection’s internal audit activities, an 'Outstanding Institution' for three consecutive years in the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission’s grievance complaint surveys, and an 'Outstanding Institution' in contract review operation evaluations.
A Yongin City official stated, "The good results stem from motivating city public officials to empathize with the importance of integrity and voluntarily make efforts, as well as striving to create an honest organizational culture. We will continue to make various efforts to establish a culture of integrity within the organization."
