'Suwon Gwanggyo Complex Sports Center' with International Standard Ice Rink Opens on the 1st

The Gwanggyo Complex Sports Center, built within Gwanggyo Lake Park (165 Gwanggyo Hosu-ro, Yeongtong-gu), has a total floor area of 12,652.55㎡, with one basement floor and two above-ground floors.
Construction began in March 2018 and was completed in September 2022. A total of 55 billion KRW was invested, including 50 billion KRW from Gwanggyo development profits and 5 billion KRW from city funds.
The first floor houses an international standard ice rink, swimming pool, lounge, restaurant, and cafe, while the second floor has a 1,500-seat spectator area (for the ice rink and swimming pool).
The ice rink measures 30m by 60m, meeting international competition standards, and is equipped with player waiting rooms, coach rooms, and a medical room.
In April 2023, the 'World Women's Ice Hockey Championship' will be held at the Gwanggyo Complex Sports Center ice rink. This is the first time the World Women's Ice Hockey Championship will be held in Korea.
The swimming pool has 10 lanes of 50m length and is equipped with showers, changing rooms, and lockers. The pool is certified as a level 3 facility, allowing it to host selection competitions organized by provincial federations and the Provincial Sports Festival.
