GS25 Launches Sweet Espresso... "Topped with Cocoa Powder"
Espresso Sales Reach 630,000 Cups to Date
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the 1st that, riding on the popularity of Cafe25 Espresso, it will introduce a sweet espresso topped with cocoa powder.
According to GS25, since its launch in April, the espresso has sold 630,000 cups and gained great popularity. It is characterized by a rich aroma and abundant crema comparable to specialty cafes, and selling it in a dedicated cup was also highly praised as very fresh.
Cocoa Espresso is a product that adapts the concept of Stracciatello, an espresso with sweet cocoa powder added, to convenience stores. Stracciatello is known as a Neapolitan-style espresso from southern Italy, featuring a natural topping of cocoa powder. To commemorate this launch, a 2+1 promotion is also being held. Until the end of December, customers who purchase two cups of Cocoa Espresso will receive one cup free, allowing them to enjoy a cup for 800 won.
