According to the Army on the 29th, on the night of the 24th, Sergeant A at an army unit in the Gangwon area unauthorizedly left using a vehicle during the Korea Combat Training Center (KCTC) training.
The military, together with the police, pursued and apprehended Sergeant A near the training ground the following day. The military police have detained Sergeant A and are investigating the detailed circumstances of the unauthorized departure.
It is very rare for an NCO to leave training unauthorized.
