Gwangyang-si Launches Recruitment for General Director of 2023 Maehwa Festival
Recruiting Innovative and Capable Talent to Upgrade the Festival by December 9
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that it is publicly recruiting a creative and capable general director to successfully lead the 2023 Maehwa Festival.
The city plans to upgrade the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival, which will be held for the first time in four years next March, into a dignified and experimental festival that preserves its identity while allowing visitors to enjoy it with peace of mind.
The general director of the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival will oversee and direct the festival, including establishing and operating detailed execution plans, managing professional personnel and event composition plans, and preparing external publicity strategies.
Applicants must have experience planning and operating flower-related festival events and programs, must not fall under the disqualification criteria of Article 21 of the Local Public Officials Act, and must be able to perform their duties faithfully.
The application period is until December 9 of this year, and applications are accepted in person.
Jung Gu-young, Director of Tourism, said, “We will appoint a capable general director who can raise the qualitative level of the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival and upgrade it further,” adding, “We look forward to the interest and participation of those with passion and innovative planning skills for a successful festival.”
He continued, “The 23rd Gwangyang Maehwa Festival will strive to enhance visitor satisfaction through differentiated programs and the establishment of tourism accommodation readiness, thereby driving regional economic revitalization.”
Meanwhile, the city is conducting a public contest open to all citizens until December 1 to gather original and creative ideas that can enhance the charm and competitiveness of the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival.
