Ihaksoo Jeongeup Mayor Urges Thorough Preparation for Next Year's Work at Executive Meeting
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the 28th, Lee Hak-su, mayor of Jeongeup, emphasized at the video executive meeting that administrative efforts should be concentrated on wrapping up various major projects this year and preparing for next year.
The mayor said, “Please establish next year's major work plans solidly, focusing on the recovery of the local economy, which is struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and unstable international situation, and to carry out citizen-centered, kind, and proactive administration.”
He continued, “We must finalize the major work plans through thorough inspection and supplementation so that plans align with national policies, Jeonbuk provincial policy directions, and the administrative direction of the 8th elected term,” adding, “Department heads should carefully review to ensure the first step is taken well.”
The city requested that safety management situations be frequently checked at major project sites and public facilities closely related to citizens' lives, and that anticipated problems be identified and addressed proactively.
Along with this, the mayor asked for efforts to create an atmosphere encouraging many citizens to participate in the Hope Sharing donation campaign during the year-end and New Year period, and to work hard to discover and support welfare blind spots.
The mayor said, “Winter is a more difficult time for vulnerable groups such as struggling households, elderly living alone, and children in crisis who need care,” and urged, “Special attention must be given to prevent welfare exclusion.”
