Truck Overturns Near Mangwoo Station Trackside... Collision with ITX Train
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Around 2:55 PM on the 27th, an ITX Cheongchun train bound for Chuncheon collided with a 1-ton truck that had rolled onto the tracks between Mangwoo Station and Sinnnae Station on the Gyeongchun Line.
According to Korail and fire authorities, the truck had rolled down a nearby hill onto the tracks at the accident site. The truck driver, a man in his 50s identified as Mr. A, immediately escaped just before the collision and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
There were 352 passengers on the ITX Cheongchun train that collided with the truck, but no injuries were reported among them.

The ITX Cheongchun train resumed operation around 3:02 PM, but 18 trains including Mugunghwa trains and electric trains on the Gyeongchun Line experienced delays ranging from 10 to 55 minutes as the truck was removed from the tracks, causing inconvenience to commuters.
