Busan Office of Education Holds Lunch Meeting with Student Counseling Volunteer Association... Discusses Future Activity Plans
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a "2022 Superintendent and Counseling Volunteers Lunch Meeting" event on the 29th at 11:30 AM in the Office of Education's Meeting Room 1 with 10 participants including Song In-ok, president of the Student Counseling Volunteer Association.
The event is held to discuss the achievements of past activities and future plans with members of the Student Counseling Volunteer Association, who support "visiting individual counseling" and "group counseling" at schools lacking professional counseling personnel.
Kim Beom-gyu, Director of the Office of Education's Department of Sports and Health, said, "This event was prepared to encourage volunteers who contribute to students' psychological stability and school adaptation," adding, "We hope volunteers feel a sense of fulfillment and pride in their activities and provide great help to students' healthy growth through counseling."
The Student Counseling Volunteer Association, active since 1985, currently has a total of 252 volunteers, including 25 new volunteers selected this year as the 37th class.

They have supported counseling at a total of 165 schools, including 55 schools with "visiting individual counseling" and 110 schools with "group counseling," targeting schools without assigned professional counseling staff.
