30s Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder for Assaulting Sister over 'Inheritance Issue'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A man who assaulted his older sister, causing serious injuries, during an argument over inheritance issues has been arrested by the police.
On the 24th, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul announced that they apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of visiting the residence of his older sister, Ms. B, in her 30s, located in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, at around 1:42 a.m. that day, strangling her neck and hitting her head against the floor.
According to police investigation, Mr. A stated that the assault occurred following a dispute over inheritance issues.
Ms. B is currently unconscious and continues to receive treatment in the intensive care unit.

A police official stated, "We plan to verify the exact circumstances of the incident," adding, "After completing the investigation, we will decide whether to request an arrest warrant."
