Lotte Mart operates B+ grade agricultural products, which have no difference in taste and nutrition compared to regular agricultural products but are slightly smaller or have blemishes on the surface, under the name Sangsaeng Series at prices lower than the market price. From January to October this year, sales of Sangsaeng fruits and vegetables increased by more than 280% compared to the previous year.
Lotte Mart purchased 30 tons of B+ grade paprika with the aim of co-prospering with paprika farms. Sangsaeng Paprika is sold at 2,990 won, which is more than 20% cheaper than the regular consumer price.

A Lotte Mart official said, "We planned the Sangsaeng Paprika event to ease the burden on vegetable farms with a high export ratio to Japan amid the uncertain situation of yen depreciation stabilization," adding, "As high inflation continues for a long time, we hope many customers enjoy delicious and nutritious paprika at an affordable price through this event."
