This drill is part of the 2022 Disaster Response Safe Korea Drill conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters was selected as the representative business site of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and will conduct the drill for four days from the 22nd to the 25th.
Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters conducts the drill with the goal of identifying vulnerabilities that may occur in the future based on past disaster cases, inspecting the disaster response system of the nuclear power plant, a national core facility, and enhancing practical response capabilities.
The drill held on the 22nd at Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters assumed a disaster situation caused by an earthquake in the eastern sea area of Ulsan, which occurred at Gori Unit 4, and comprehensively checked the disaster response system, including the operation of the Disaster Emergency Countermeasures Headquarters.
Many related organizations participated in the drill, including the Central Evaluation Team of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Gijang County Office, Gijang Fire Station, 119 Special Rescue Team, 53rd Army Division, and Gijang Police Station.
