View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Homeplus announced on the 23rd that it will hold the price stabilization project "Homeplus Kimjang Grand Sale" from the 24th to the 30th.
In this event, Homeplus will collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to sell essential kimjang ingredients at special prices for My Homeplus members. Representative products such as fully packed Haenam cabbage, crispy bunch radish, and fresh oysters from the southern coast will be offered at a 20% discount.
They will also introduce pork items that go well with kimjang kimchi. Grade 1 or higher premium front leg, hind leg, and ribs will be sold at a 40% discount for My Homeplus members. Customers who purchase the front leg event product will receive an additional 10% discount on top of the basic 40% discount when buying cabbage together.
Kimjang supplies are prepared at up to 50% cheaper prices. About 50 types of Komex and Glasslock airtight containers for kimjang are discounted up to 50%, around 10 types of kimjang bags, sanitary bags, and rubber gloves are 10% off, and two types of kimjang vests and pants are offered at a 30% discount.
Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and Winia kimchi refrigerators are also offered at affordable prices. When purchasing products with event cards, customers can receive gift certificates worth up to 300,000 KRW, and up to 200,000 KRW discount benefits are provided for trade-in sales.

A Homeplus official said, "Thanks to the efforts of the government, farms, and distribution industry, this year's kimjang costs could be lower than last year," adding, "Ahead of the full-fledged kimjang season, we will sell reasonably priced products to further ease the burden on customers."
