Tourism Meets Advanced Technology... Busan City Hosts Busan Tourism Venture Festival
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The "2022 Busan Tourism Venture Festival," which encompasses advanced technology tourism content and the latest models in the Busan area, will be held on the 24th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2.
This event is hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Tourism Venture Association to discover and support the growth of tourism ventures incorporating advanced technology.
This year, it will be conducted in collaboration with "BOUNCE 2022," hosted by the Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, to support the discovery of convergence models with Busan startups.
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the event will feature various programs including ▲regional tourism venture promotion booths ▲youth & tourism company employment and startup consulting ▲IR pitching ▲and Tourism Venture Night.
▲In the Youth & Tourism Company Jump-Up Consulting, representatives from three Busan tourism star companies (YachtTallae, Jim Carry, Withus Contents) will provide one-on-one mentoring to local university students.
▲In the IR pitching, five tourism ventures will introduce their companies to accelerators (AC) and venture capital firms (VC).
▲During Tourism Venture Night, there will be a special lecture on startup investment trends by Lee Dong-gyu, CEO of Meracle, and a presentation of best practices by Son Jin-hyun, CEO of Jim Carry.
Following this, through signing MOUs with the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Tourism Venture Association, Busan Tourism Organization, Korea Startup Forum Southeast Region Council, and Gyeongnam Local Tourism Association, a network will be established to expand the base of tourism ventures in the Southeast region.
Yu Gyu-won, Director of the Tourism MICE Bureau of Busan City, introduced, "The tourism sector is also rapidly growing in the platform market through ICT integration, and experiential tourism is expanding through convergence among industries such as workation, gourmet, and pet-friendly."
