Habitat East Branch Gifts Study Room Setup to Multicultural Families in Gurye
Creating Learning Environments for Multicultural Families: Wallpapering, Flooring, Desks and Chairs, and Computer Purchases
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Korea Habitat Jeonnam East Branch (Chairman Kim Yongho) announced that it carried out a study room decoration project for five multicultural families in Gurye County.
Korea Habitat Jeonnam East Branch, with sponsorship from Korea Habitat Headquarters and local companies, selected five low-income multicultural households in the area together with the International Lions Club Jeonnam East District (Governor Kim Yunsu). After on-site inspections, they purchased wallpaper, flooring, customized desks and chairs, and computers for each household, providing a comfortable learning environment for children from vulnerable multicultural families.
This study room decoration support project was carried out through the sincere volunteer sponsorship of members of the Gurye Lions Club (President Seon Sangwook) and the New Gurye Lions Club (President Park Baeseong).
Korea Habitat Jeonnam East Branch (Chairman Kim Yongho) stated, “We will continue to provide ongoing support so that children from disadvantaged multicultural families in the Gurye area can nurture their dreams in a comfortable learning environment and grow into healthy children.”
County Governor Kim Sunho said, “I deeply thank Korea Habitat Jeonnam East Branch for their unwavering interest and support for disadvantaged multicultural families in the area, and the officials of the International Lions Club Jeonnam East District who volunteered their support despite their busy schedules.
