Jinju City, according to the 'Ordinance on Educational Support for Children from Low-Income Families in Jinju City,' selected 25 children from low-income families in grades 4 to 6 of elementary schools within the city to participate in a two-week (from January 1 to 13, 2023) residential English camp during the winter vacation. With a total budget of 50 million KRW, approximately 2 million KRW per student will be provided as camp participation fees.
With this agreement, the winter vacation English camp will be consigned to the Gyeongsang National University International Language Institute for operation. Through an immersive residential camp taught by native speakers, students will experience various English-speaking cultures and receive education aimed at enhancing competencies required in the global era.
President Kwon Soon-ki said, "Our university's International Language Institute has the nation's top-level instructors, facilities, and curriculum. We will provide the best English camp program to the students."
