The Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency's Morality Investigation Team announced on the 21st that "three people, including advertising agency operator A (43), and 16 managers of prostitution establishments who requested advertisements were booked without detention on charges of violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Prostitution Brokerage."
A and others are suspected of providing advertising agency services such as image production and advertisement placement for 86 prostitution establishments nationwide from January 2019 to September this year, receiving monthly advertising fees ranging from 500,000 to 1,300,000 KRW.
The police conducted searches and seizures at 12 locations including financial institutions and internet portal companies, securing 15 million KRW in cash, mobile phones, hard disks used in the crime, and are investigating additional offenses of the suspects.
