The excellence award was given to the ‘ePyeonhansesang Duryu Station Apartment Landscaping,’ and no encouragement award was selected this year.
The grand prize-winning ‘Namsan Lotte Castle Central Sky Apartment’ uses red bricks that harmonize with the surrounding Namsan 100-year Nostalgia Road and the Daegu City Tangible Cultural Property, the Chaltre St. Paul Convent, creating a unique apartment complex atmosphere that evokes an old-fashioned charm.
In particular, the apartment features special themed four-season gardens?Magnolia Path (spring), Zelkova Forest Path (summer), Silver Magnolia Maze Garden (autumn), and Camellia Forest (winter)?allowing residents to enjoy flowers throughout the year, which received high praise.
The ‘ePyeonhansesang Duryu Station Apartment,’ selected for the excellence award, was highly evaluated for its six garden collections named ‘Forest of Health, Forest of Wisdom, Forest of Healing, Forest of Joy, Forest of Leisure, and Fortune Plaza,’ as well as the upgrading and premium selection of planted species. Tree species rarely seen in apartments, such as Manchurian Ash and Elm, attracted attention.
The Daegu City Landscaping Awards began in 1995 and this year marks the 27th ceremony. The winners were selected through document review and on-site inspections of private landscaping projects completed in Daegu City from January 1 to October.

Choi Byung-won, head of the Daegu City Forest and Greenery Division, said, “We hope that the Daegu City Landscaping Awards will serve as an opportunity to widely promote various forms of landscaping spaces created together with citizens, where private landscaping such as apartments plays a major role in creating new urban forests, not just spaces for some residents.”
