Gyeonggawon Achieves $4.96 Million Export Contract at U.S. Furniture Trade Show
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has established a foothold for local furniture companies to enter the U.S. market.
On the 21st, the agency announced that, in collaboration with the Korea Furniture Industry Cooperative Federation and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, it achieved export consultations worth $11.32 million (178 cases) and export contracts worth $4.96 million at the 'U.S. Furniture Companies Export Consortium' overseas buyer consultation held from the 13th to the 20th in Los Angeles and New York.
Prior to the consultation, the agency selected a total of 11 companies focusing on items with high market potential in the U.S. market.
An official from the agency stated, "We plan to continuously promote support projects such as export logistics cost subsidies to help local furniture companies actively develop export channels."
