Nongshim Launches 'Myeolchi Kalguksu Bowl'... "Accelerating Targeting of Dried Noodle and Cup Noodle Markets"
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nongshim announced on the 21st that it will launch Myeolchi Kalguksu Bowl to target the rapidly growing dried noodle and cup noodle markets.
Myeolchi Kalguksu Bowl fully captures the charm of anchovy kalguksu. It features a light broth flavored with anchovies and mushrooms, and non-fried dried noodles that create the tender and chewy texture of authentic kalguksu noodles. The addition of colorful toppings such as egg garnish, bok choy, and carrots enhances the visual appeal.
Nongshim plans to get closer to young consumers by adding convenience through the cup noodle launch. A Nongshim representative said, "We paid attention to the steady interest among consumers in their teens and twenties in voluntary modishumer recipes using anchovy kalguksu, such as Myeolkaljuk and Myeolkal Eomuktang, circulating online recently," adding, "We aim to captivate the taste buds of the younger generation who enjoy cup noodles by highlighting the unique taste and texture."
