Cho Yong-pil Releases New Song After 9 Years... Lyricist Kim Eana Participates
Overseas Producer Composes, Kim Eana Writes Lyrics... First Single in 54 Years Since Debut, Mini Album Next Year Too
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomibeum] Singer Jo Yongpil has released a new song after 9 years.
His agency YPC announced on the 18th that Jo Yongpil's single "Road to 20 - Prelude 1" was released. Both new songs in the single, "Chalna" and "Serengeti Cheoreom," were composed by overseas producers, with lyrics contributed by star lyricist Kim Eana.
"Chalna" is a pop rock genre song that cheerfully and stylishly expresses the changing self because of "you." "Serengeti Cheoreom" carries a message of encouragement to everyone, urging them to live boldly in a world where infinite opportunities unfold by broadening their narrowed perspectives, like a vast plain, through interactions with others.
YPC stated, "It is a lead single concept for the 20th full album, which is being worked on with a target release by the end of next year." Since his debut in 1968, Jo Yongpil has released 19 full albums, and this is the first time in 54 years that he is releasing a new song in single form. For his 55th debut anniversary in the first half of next year, a mini album containing some songs from the 20th album is also planned.
