[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 20th that it plans to hold various events on the themes of sustainable finance and prevention of financial fraud in celebration of World Investor Week.
In this event, the FSS will operate programs such as social live broadcasts and visiting financial education in collaboration with the Korea Financial Consumer Protection Foundation, the Korea Financial Investment Association, and the National Investor Education Council. The events will be held from the 21st to the 25th.
The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) designates one week each year as World Investor Week and encourages member countries to conduct events for investor education and protection.
On the 25th at 11 a.m., the FSS will conduct a social live broadcast on the theme of "Sustainable Finance" through its Facebook channel and YouTube. Additionally, visiting financial education, financial education musicals, and special financial lectures will be held for youth and adults in Seoul, Suncheon, Cheonan, Mokpo, and Dangjin.
Furthermore, during the event period, the FSS plans to gather and provide educational materials such as videos and vlogs related to the event themes in one place on the World Investor Week homepage.
The FSS will also operate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) quizzes and self-diagnosis events through the World Investor Week homepage, the Korea Financial Consumer Protection Foundation, and the Korea Financial Investment Association’s investor education websites.
