Seminar on Integrated Project Management for Mega Project Success
[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] HanmiGlobal announced on the 18th that it will hold a seminar on "Program Management for the Success of Mega Projects" on the morning of the 25th at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu.
Hosted by the Korea Construction Management Society and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and HanmiGlobal, this seminar was planned to discuss the necessity of introducing integrated program management for large national projects and the revision of the Construction Technology Promotion Act.
Program management refers to planning and managing interrelated complex projects, focusing on the success or failure of the entire program rather than individual projects. Choi Jong-cheol, CEO of WSP Korea, will explain the functions and effectiveness of program management in large construction projects based on the New York One World Trade Center case.
A panel discussion will also take place. Chaired by Professor Lee Young-hwan of Inha University, participants include Professor Lee Bok-nam, Yoon Sang-won, Technical Innovation Officer at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Baek Myung-chang, Specialist at the Ministry of National Defense, CEO Choi Jong-cheol, Yoon Eun-sang, Head of Korea CMC, Executive Director Oh Doo-won of Dohwa Engineering, and Kim Kyung-tae, Head of Construction Strategy Research Institute at HanmiGlobal.
