40s Man Arrested for Assaulting Wife During Argument... Also Attacked Responding Police Officer
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 40s who assaulted his estranged wife and swung punches at police officers who arrived at the scene was arrested by the police.
On the 18th, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested and were investigating Mr. A (46) on charges of injury and obstruction of official duties.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting his estranged wife in Noryangjin-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, at around 10:43 PM the previous day, and also injuring police officers who responded to the scene by punching them.
Police investigation revealed that the assault stemmed from a dispute over basic living allowance payments between Mr. A and his wife.
