Operation Suspended on Sillim Line Due to Track Abnormality... Restored After 1 Hour 30 Minutes (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] On the afternoon of the 17th, during rush hour, the Seoul Urban Railway Sillim Line service was suspended due to a track anomaly and resumed after 1 hour and 25 minutes.
According to the city, at around 6:32 PM, an abnormality occurred on the guide rail near the turnout (equipment that moves trains to different tracks) at Boramae Park Station on the Sillim Line, causing train operations to halt at all stations on the line. The city launched emergency repair work and resumed train operations at around 7:57 PM, but the section from Boramae Park Station to Boramae Station is operating at reduced speed for passenger safety. All other sections have returned to normal operation. When train service was suspended, the city deployed reserve vehicles on four bus routes (152, 461, 5516, 6514) overlapping with the Sillim Line to minimize inconvenience for commuters.
