Gyeonggi Office of Education Welcomes Provincial Council's Supplementary Budget Approval: "Urgent Issues Must Be Resolved Quickly"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education issued a statement on the 17th welcoming the passage of the first supplementary budget bill for this year at the Gyeonggi Provincial Council.
In the statement, the Gyeonggi Office of Education said, "The first supplementary budget bill for the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education for 2022 was passed in today's plenary session," adding, "We will promptly execute the supplementary budget to quickly resolve urgent educational issues in Gyeonggi."
In particular, the supplementary budget will be immediately allocated to projects such as ▲improving quality school meals ▲enhancing educational environments for safety and health ▲distributing informatization equipment ▲supporting the revitalization of school sports for approximately 1.66 million students in the province, ensuring the smooth promotion of Gyeonggi education projects toward 'Autonomy, Balance, and Future.'
Furthermore, they promised, "We will carefully review and supplement the reduced budget items such as the IB program in this supplementary budget and prepare more thoroughly for the 2023 main budget review scheduled later."
