Preparing a Practical Ordinance Through Discussions with Related Organizations and Workers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Gwangju Buk-gu Council member Lee Sookhee (Duam 1, 2, 3, Pungyang, Munhwa, Seokgok-dong) announced that she held a meeting with related departments on the 16th to enact the "Ordinance for Supporting Emotional Development of Children and Adolescents in Gwangju Buk-gu."
This meeting was organized to collect and reflect professional opinions from the executive departments regarding the ordinance, which includes provisions on the prevention and treatment of psychological and emotional problems of children and adolescents residing in Buk-gu, as well as support for their emotional development.
Department heads and team leaders from departments related to children and adolescents, such as the Buk-gu Welfare Policy Division, Disabled Welfare Division, Women and Family Division, and Child Welfare Division, attended the meeting, expressed their opinions by department, and engaged in in-depth discussions on practical measures to provide support after the ordinance is implemented.
The main contents of the ordinance include ▲ the responsibilities of the district mayor for supporting the emotional development of children and adolescents ▲ matters concerning the support targets ▲ and matters related to emotional development support projects.
Council member Lee Sookhee said, "I prepared this ordinance because I judged that psychological and emotional stability and administrative support for it are more important than anything else for our children to grow into healthy members of society," and added, "We will actively reflect the opinions of related departments presented today and prepare an ordinance that is essential for our children through future meetings with related institutions and workers for children and adolescents."
