Gmarket and Korea Tourism Organization Launch 'Win-Win Travel Campaign' to Support Tourism in Population Decline Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Gmarket announced on the 16th that it will hold a special exhibition for the accommodation travel campaign "The Village is Getting Bustling" in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization until the 23rd.
From Goseong in Gangwon to Hapcheon in Gyeongnam, the campaign aims to revitalize tourism in 89 depopulated areas nationwide by offering special discounts and events on major accommodation products in those regions.
The special discounted products available in the "Popular Accommodations" section include family-friendly resorts with water parks and saunas such as "Chungnam Resort Splas Resort," "Chungbuk Resort Forest Resort," and "Ramada Hotel & Sea One Resort Jaeundo." Additionally, accommodations like "Kensington Resort Seorak Beach," "Sono Pet Club & Resort Vivaldi Park," and "Sono Felice Delpino" in the Gangwon area, as well as "Lotte Resort Buyeo" and "Taean Pool Villa Amare" in the Chungcheong area, are featured.
Gmarket is also conducting an event issuing the "Digital Tourist Resident Card," which provides discounts on accommodations, dining, and experience programs during regional travel, with prizes given through a lottery.
Furthermore, a 30,000 KRW discount coupon is issued daily for purchases over 500,000 KRW, and a 50,000 KRW discount coupon is available for purchases over 800,000 KRW.
