This event is the largest sports competition in the province, with over 20,000 athletes participating in 29 events from 23 cities and counties. It will be held in Gumi City for the first time in 12 years since the 50th Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival in 2012.
Based on its experience hosting various national competitions such as the 102nd National Sports Festival in 2021, the city expects to successfully host the 62nd Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival, widely promoting the city's status both domestically and internationally, while boosting citizens' pride.
