[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) has strengthened the promotional capabilities of its staff to ensure that the policy vision and ongoing projects of the 8th elected administration are communicated quickly and accurately to residents.
On the 14th at 2 PM, Jung-gu held an appointment ceremony for promotion leaders and conducted training to enhance promotional capabilities in the large auditorium on the 7th floor of the district office. They shared future activity plans for the promotion leaders and outlined a blueprint for the direction of district administration promotion.
A total of 50 promotion leaders were appointed, one from each of the 35 departments and 15 neighborhoods, with ranks ranging from grade 6 to grade 9.
The district introduced promotion leaders to change the perception that district promotion is solely the responsibility of the promotion department. The judgment was that project managers need to recognize that "promotion is the most important part of project progress" and consider promotional strategies together for the project to shine.
Going forward, they will be responsible for ▲ discovering promotional tasks suited to the characteristics of their departments ▲ strengthening communication with residents through resident communities and SNS within their departments ▲ proposing various ideas for promoting Jung-gu ▲ collaborating on promotion for district administration’s current projects.
Following the appointment ceremony, a lecture was held. Park Jae-young, Director of Digital Promotion Marketing at WebBright, served as the instructor and provided training on the importance of promotion, promotional techniques, and reestablishing the mindset for district administration promotion.
The district plans to provide additional training and various promotional guidelines so that promotion leaders can develop promotional strategies tailored to each project’s characteristics. They also plan to maximize synergy effects through meetings with the mayor and mutual cross-promotion among promotion leaders.

At the appointment ceremony, Jung-gu Mayor Kim Gil-seong said, “I hope that all staff, centered on the promotion leaders, become a ‘promotion one team’ and properly introduce the new Jung-gu.”
