President Yoon's Job Performance Ratings Show Simultaneous Rise in 'Positive and Negative'... 34.6% vs 63.4% [Realmeter]

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Positive and negative evaluations of President Yoon Seok-yeol's administration have both risen simultaneously. The positive evaluation, which had declined after the 'Itaewon crowd crush disaster,' slightly rebounded within a week, while the negative evaluation increased for two consecutive weeks.
On the 14th, Realmeter, commissioned by Media Tribune, conducted a survey from the 7th to the 11th targeting 2,510 voters nationwide aged 18 and older. The results showed that 34.6% had a positive evaluation of President Yoon's administration, while 63.4% had a negative evaluation.
The positive evaluation rose by 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous survey, and the negative evaluation increased by 1.0 percentage point.
In particular, the positive evaluation dropped sharply from 35.7% to 34.2% immediately after the Itaewon crowd crush disaster but showed signs of rebounding within a week.
Negative evaluations of President Yoon's administration have been on the rise for two consecutive weeks. In the fourth week of October, the negative evaluation was 61.7%, which rose by 0.7 percentage points to 62.4% in the first week of November, and further increased by 1.0 percentage point to 63.4% in the second week of November, marking a total increase of 1.7 percentage points since the Itaewon crowd crush disaster.
By region, support rates rose relatively high in Daejeon·Sejong·Chungcheong (up 9.4 percentage points) and Seoul (up 4.2 percentage points), while a notable decline was seen in Daegu·Gyeongbuk (down 10.2 percentage points).
Regarding party support, the People Power Party fell by 1.3 percentage points from the previous survey to 36.1%, while the Democratic Party of Korea remained unchanged at 46.8%.
Other parties included the Justice Party at 3.2%, other parties at 1.5%, and non-affiliated voters at 12.4%.
The margin of error for this survey is ±2.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The survey was conducted using 97% wireless and 3% wired automatic response system (ARS), with a response rate of 3.8%.
