Jeju Police Agency Strengthens Security Capabilities Using Spatial Information MOU
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Police Agency 112 Comprehensive Security Situation Room announced on the 13th that it recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation Jeju Regional Headquarters to strengthen security capabilities based on spatial information.
The two organizations agreed to provide more advanced security services to residents through smart administration that actively utilizes regional spatial information.
In addition, they decided to incorporate the latest technologies into the security system, such as 3D scanners and drone support for crime scene recording and preservation, and 3D stereoscopic blueprints for places with large crowds, and agreed to join forces to create a ‘Safe Jeju’ for residents by discovering additional collaborative tasks in the future.
Chief Lee Sang-ryul stated, “We will continue to actively strive to protect the safety of residents through an organic cooperative system with other organizations.”
