View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Starting late this afternoon (the 12th), strong winds and rain accompanied by thunder and lightning are forecasted nationwide.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 12th, the entire country will be mostly cloudy, with rain beginning in Jeju Island and the Jeolla coast, spreading nationwide in the afternoon.
In particular, the central region will experience heavier rainfall from the evening, accompanied by strong winds, thunder and lightning, and sleet, so caution is required.
Strong winds will blow along the West Coast, the southern coast of Jeollanam-do, the mountainous areas of Gangwon and northeastern Gyeongbuk, and the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, with most seas experiencing high waves.
Expected precipitation amounts are 20-60mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, northern Gangwon Yeongseo, the western coast of Chungnam, Jeju Island, and the five West Sea islands, while other regions will receive 5-40mm.
This rain will mostly stop between dawn and morning tomorrow (the 13th), but the eastern coast of Gyeongsang Province is expected to continue until late afternoon, and Gangwon Yeongdong until night. Especially from tomorrow afternoon, temperatures will drop, causing rain to change to snow and accumulate in the northern mountainous areas of Gangwon above 1000m in elevation.
As cold air moves southward, temperatures will drop sharply, making the morning temperature on the day after tomorrow (the 14th) more than 5℃ lower than tomorrow, resulting in cold weather.
