Actor Park Hae-il Selected for Asia Journalists Association AJA Awards 2022
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The Asian Journalists Association (AJA) announced on the 10th that actor Park Hae-il has been selected as the recipient of the AJA Award 2022.
On the day, the AJA executive board stated, "Park Hae-il is an actor who has proven his capabilities by consistently appearing in various genres of works for over 20 years," and added, "He played the lead role in 'Decision to Leave' (director Park Chan-wook), which won the Best Director award at this year's Cannes Film Festival, leaving a strong impression on film fans worldwide."
Park Hae-il, who first gained attention in the 2000 play 'Youth Praise,' has appeared in films such as 'The Scent of Chrysanthemums,' 'Memories of Murder' (2003), 'The Purpose of Love' (2005), 'The Host' (2006), 'Modern Boy' (2008), 'Moebius' (2010), and 'The Last Princess' (2016), and recently gained popularity with 'Decision to Leave' and 'Hansan.'

Notable past recipients of the AJA Award include director Lee Joon-ik (2016), former Vietnam national football team coach Park Hang-seo (2018), and director Bong Joon-ho (2019). The award ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on the 11th at Myeongdong CGV in Seoul.
