At the strategy meeting held that day, the CEOs of both exchanges pledged to strengthen communication. Specifically, they agreed to continue dialogue to build "sustainable exchange leadership" and an "innovative startup ecosystem" in response to the spread of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) finance and the contraction trend in the venture capital ecosystem.
During the two-day strategy meeting starting on the 8th, the Korea Exchange shared its successful experiences and activation cases regarding the operation of the carbon emissions trading market and the KONEX market with TWSE executives and staff. This was explained as an effort to support TWSE's consideration of establishing a carbon emissions trading market and to promote the activation of the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and venture company markets.
Both exchanges agreed to continuously expand and discover cooperation areas such as information business through multifaceted practical discussions in the future. They also plan to consult on detailed implementation plans.
