Shinsegae Inter opens wellness-specialized store at Jaju
Opened 'Jaju Bucheon City Hall Branch' Store of 276㎡ (Approx. 83 Pyeong) Early This Month
Focus on Selling Jaju Wellness Line and Eco-friendly, Health Clothing Products
Jaju Plans to Expand Wellness Business as a New Growth Engine
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Shinsegae International’s lifestyle brand Jaju announced on the 7th that it will open a wellness-specialized store and strengthen related businesses. The company’s strategy is to develop the wellness business as a new growth engine as interest in health has increased and customers who pursue value consumption have grown since COVID-19.
In September, Jaju newly launched a wellness line consisting of health functional foods, beauty, eco-friendly household goods, and personal care products, and earlier this month opened a complex store specializing in wellness and fashion near Bucheon City Hall in Gyeonggi Province. This is the first time Jaju has introduced a specialized store.
The ‘Jaju Bucheon City Hall Store’ spans 276㎡ (about 83 pyeong) and boldly removed more than half of the household goods that previously made up the store assortment, focusing mainly on wellness products and clothing related to health and sustainability. The interior uses wood tones overall to create a warm and comfortable store atmosphere, emphasizing a nature-friendly concept by preserving the textures of natural materials such as wood and stone.
At the store, customers can find all the products from the ‘Jaju Wellness’ line launched last September. The range includes vegan-certified skincare products, personal care items made from natural ingredients, and solid soaps that enable zero waste practices.
Health functional foods launched last month through collaboration with premium health and functional food company Denps are also available. The ‘Premium Vitamin Complex’ and ‘Fish Collagen Peptide’ minimize synthetic additives and chemical excipients, making them safe for men, women, and children to consume.
In line with the characteristics of the younger generation pursuing sustainable fashion, the assortment has also been strengthened. In February, Jaju secured the exclusive license for ‘Cotton Made in Africa’ as the first in Asia and introduced a total of 100 eco-friendly clothing items including T-shirts, pajamas, and underwear. At the Bucheon City Hall store, various eco-friendly clothing items are sold, from CmiA label products made with eco-friendly cotton to organic cotton series made from materials that are gentle and safe on the skin.
