LG Uplus Develops Web-Based Enterprise Video Conferencing Solution 'MeetU'
Video Conferencing Support via Web Browser Without Separate Program Installation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] LG Uplus announced on the 7th that it has developed a web-based enterprise video conferencing solution called ‘MeetU’.
MeetU is a video conferencing solution that can be easily used on PCs, mobile devices, and tablets through a web browser without installing any separate programs. The company explained, "We provide a service that enhances high quality, user experience, and collaboration efficiency so that meeting participants can collaborate as if they are working in the same space."
To provide high-quality video conferencing, MeetU applies a high-efficiency video compression codec (VP9) and smart audio technology that removes surrounding noise and howling during meetings. It also implements a stable service that maintains uninterrupted voice communication even if the connected network becomes unstable during the meeting. Additionally, it offers easy permission management such as screen sharing and autonomous control of speaking rights, as well as collaboration features using post-its and laser pointers on an in-screen whiteboard.
