Mugunghwa Train Derails at Yeongdeungpo Station... 30 Injured
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] At around 8:55 PM on the 6th, a Mugunghwa train derailed near Yeongdeungpo Station in Seoul.
According to Korail, the train heading from Yongsan Station to Iksan Station deviated from the tracks at 8:15 PM that day.
Although operations resumed after the accident, it is reported that about 30 people were injured. A Yeongdeungpo Fire Station official explained, "Some moved to hospitals on their own, while others were transported by ambulance."

A Korail official stated, "We are investigating the exact cause of the derailment," adding, "The train is operating on a different track, but there may be adjustments to the operation of some trains."
