New Book Information and Book Sales Information Sharing System, Automatic Order Placement System Provided
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Korea Publishing Culture Association (KPC) announced on the 4th that it has begun the public pilot operation of the Korea Book Information Center (KOBIC) website.
According to KPC, KOBIC was developed with the purpose of providing comprehensive new book information based on over 20 years of experience in new book deposit. It is available for use by libraries, bookstores, publishers, general readers, and book-related businesses.
Additionally, KPC explained that it has established a 'Book Sales Information Sharing System' for authors and an 'Automatic Order Placement System' for publishers. According to KPC, the entire cost of building the site was covered by membership fees and donations from members of the Korea Publishing Culture Association.

Yoon Cheol-ho, president of KPC, said, “With the active cooperation of member companies, publishers, and organizations such as the Korea Magazine Association in providing book information, we expect KOBIC to become the most comprehensive and fastest public new book information site.”
