[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hee-jun] Military authorities identified the flight tracks of North Korean military aircraft and responded by urgently scrambling air forces.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 4th, they identified about 180 flight tracks of North Korean military aircraft and took response measures.
According to the Joint Chiefs, North Korean military aircraft operated in multiple areas including inland north of the Tactical Action Line (TAL) and the East and West Seas.
Our Air Force urgently scrambled over 80 superior air combat forces, including the stealth fighter F-35A, and is maintaining a full response posture through follow-up support forces and air defense forces.
Additionally, about 240 forces participating in the ROK-US joint air exercise "Vigilant Storm" carried out the planned training as scheduled while maintaining readiness.

A Joint Chiefs official stated, "Our military, under close cooperation between South Korea and the United States, is closely monitoring related movements of the North Korean military and maintaining a firm readiness posture against additional provocations."
