Woods Also Considering Participation in December's Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship
[Asia Economy Reporter Tae-won Choi] 'Golf Emperor' Tiger Woods (USA) will team up with world No.1 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) for an event match in December.
On the 3rd (local time), American golf media Golf Digest reported, "Woods and McIlroy will form a team to face off against the team of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth (both USA) in 'The Match,' which will be held as a 12-hole game on December 10 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, USA."
'The Match' is an event that began in November 2018 as a one-on-one showdown between Woods and Phil Mickelson (USA).
This will be Woods' third appearance in 'The Match' since he first competed against Mickelson in November 2018, and then teamed up with NFL player Peyton Manning in May 2020 to face the Mickelson-Tom Brady (NFL player) duo.
Woods, who suffered severe leg injuries in a car rollover accident near Los Angeles, California, in February last year, participated in three tournaments this year: the Masters in April, the PGA Championship in May, and The Open in July.

There is also speculation about his possible participation in the PNC Championship, an event held over two days starting December 17, where players and their families compete in pairs.
