Professor Shin Hyun-seok of Pusan National University Appointed as the 13th Director of Busan Research Institute

The appointment ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. The term of the new president is three years.
New President Shin Hyun-seok earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from Colorado State University in the United States and was appointed as a professor in the Department of Social and Environmental Systems Engineering at Pusan National University in 1998. As an expert in water resources engineering, he has participated in various national research and policies, including the Ministry of Environment's Nakdong River Pollution Total Load Management Investigation Team and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's National Low Impact Development Research Group.
President Shin stated, “Through practical policy research centered on the field, I will do my best to ensure that the Busan Institute functions as a policy platform leading Busan’s change and innovation.”
